The world is 3D, everybody knows that. but you may not know, is what would happen if a 4 dimensional object was to come in our world. It may sound really fictional, but just imagine. An object completely transparent that could get bigger or smaller just by looking at it.
To start with: A 2D object is an inanimate frontal draft that stays on a plane. It is like if we had cut through a 3D object, like a box, and took a lamella of it, so we won’t be able to see up and down, just left, right, front and low.
Us, 3 dimensional being, can see everything that may be in the box, but IMAGINE a 2 dimensional person, looking a it. It could only see the border of the box, because it is a plane. If we were to move a 3 Dimensional object into it it would just look like a polygon that appear and disappear.
Now if you take that to the 3D and 4D, This is what it would look like (to not complicate your life for nothing I will take a simple object, a ball) :
If a 4 Dimensional guy took a 4 dimensional ball and sent it to our world, we could see how it would take shape ( it would keep getting bigger and bigger) We could touch it, feel it, before it would retract and become so small that your eyes wouldn't be able see it.
Like us to be able to see everything in the 2D, It would be impossible to hide from a 4D person: everything he or she would see would only be like glass.
