We are killers

                                                                   We are killers

In our culture, we always considered the Mans at the top of the pyramid. We consider Earth as our own proprietary. We do pollution, we destroy the forests and above all, we kill. We do it in the most cruel silence, without any feeling. Everyday, a terrifying number of animals are killed in the name of fashion, beauty and food industry, even if we could save their lives just by changing our habits.

Every year, about 140 billions of animals are killed for our consumption. Their conditions before being killed are cruel and they are literally born to die. They live their whole life mistreated, stuck in small cages where they can not even move, they are developing diseases, are not cured and they have to  hormones to get bigger before they get savagely killed. After that, when it comes to fashion, animals are killed only for their skins. We rip it out of them, we sell it for leather and we consider this skin that belongs to a dead animal “fashion”. Thereafter, in the cosmetic world, we use animals a lot for tests. We test products on them and if for example a creme is suppose to cure burn skin, we will burn the animal’s skin to see the results. Animals often die from these tests or they become blind and injured. All of this cruelty is not necessary and could easily be avoid with our everyday actions.
The solutions to these problems are simple. First, to avoid cruelty that is done for clothing or cosmetics, there is the possibility of only buying vegan leather, which is as durable as leather, look as good but doesn’t contain any animal product. There’s also the solution of only buy cosmetics from cruelty free brands to put a stop to animal testing. Finally, for the food, it’s easy to replace meat by another protein, but if it gets too complicated, just buying biologic meat can make a great difference : animals are well treated, they don’t eat chemicals and it’s better for our health!

In , we all have the power to change the animal’s situation by our little actions. We should never call an animal “friend” and the other ”food”.
