Vancouver exchange
by Gabriel de Assis Bially
From April 20th to April 28th, me and twenty other students from school had the chance to go to Vancouver, British Columbia in a exchange trip. This was the best trip I have ever been in my life, I had the chance to discover the amazing city of Vancouver and it surroundings. We stayed the whole week at a little city next to Vancouver called Surrey, our house was amazing, we were literally one street away from a beach, Crescent Beach, and right next to or house there was a basketball court, I mean what could we ask more for a couple of guys that love playing basketball. During the whole trip I got to meet new people and get closer to some people who I wasn’t necessarily close to before the exchange, for me that was the best thing of all. During the whole week we did a lot of activities, we went to the museum, the park, to improve, shopping, bowling and a lot more, let me make you my top 3 activities:
3. In third place, this wasn’t an activity scheduled by the organisator of the trip, this was more of a group activity we had every night. So at the end of everyday me, Charles-Olivier, Jacques-Emanuel, Nicolas Boulanger, Hugues Fortier and Juliette Picard would go play basketball at the court next to our house, buy ice cream, and go take a long walk at the beach to see the beautiful sunsets, and god knows that in Vancouver you have the most amazing sunset in the world. Having this traditions we did every day was wonderful because at the end of the day when you went to bed you were so relaxed and stress relieved.
2. In second place, comes Stanley Park, we spent the whole day at Stanley Park riding bicycles in a beautiful weather with a mind blowing paysage, what you have to know about Stanley Park is that its a park that is right next to the ocean and the whole bicycle route is right next to the edges of the park so you would ride your bicycles looking at the sea the whole time, but the best thing of all that was, it was my birthday that we had one of our best activities.
1.The best activity of the whole trip was spending time with our wonderful teacher and my friends during the whole trip, we had the amazing chance to have loving, caring and wonderful teachers during the trip with us, we had Miss Chloe Harvey, Mister Gautier Paquet-Martin and Miss Hazel Alton, every single one of them gave there time to organize this trip for us the students and once we got there they helped us, listened to us and had fun with us every time we needed them. There trip wouldn’t have been the same without them nor would it without my five amazing companion Jacques, Juliette, Hugues, Charles-Olivier and Nicolas, we had so many amazing moments together and so many endless laughs.
I couldn’t have asked for a better trip, this was a life changing experience. I would have stayed the rest of the year there with my friends but we had to come back here and everytime look at one of the 1573 pictures we took there, I have a little pinch of nostalgia in my heart. Thanks to everybody in the trip for this mind blowing experience.
