Trump’s new embassy in Jerusalem provokes a carnage

Yesterday, a new american embassy was inaugurated in Jerusalem. While Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump were happily welcomed by the Israeli government, the palestinian border was overflowing with manifestations.

The Palestine, all day long, protested against Jerusalem’s status of capital to the american eyes, while the previous embassy established in Tel-Aviv was considered neutral.

Israel, supposedly desirous to keep peace, slaughtered 55 Palestinian civilians and harmed nearly 2400 of them. Netanyahou justified that his actions would protect his country against the Hamas, an islamist movement ruling Palestine since 2008. According to him, the intensive security measures would counter the possible terrorism of the Hamas. However, while medias play against them, the Israeli army could prevent real terrorists disguised into civilians from crossing the border between Gaza and Israel.

Most worldwide organisations condemn the day’s violence. Notably, Amnesty International, Humans Rights Watch, the UN, Turkey and Afghanistan denounce this american change leading to a bloodbath and war crimes. Plus, the United States overthrow an resolution of the United States by moving their embassy.

By this act, the United States recognizes an ‘’historical’’ truth while strengthening its bond with the israeli nation. In the video he sent to the israeli authorities, Trump proclaimed Jerusalem “eternal capital of the Jewish people”.

The Canadian government was thanked for not taking part of the ceremony by Palestinian diplomats. Trudeau replied that the event was bilateral between Israel and the United States only.

As violence escalates, the American government maybe sparked a fire of escalating violence upon the ashes of Israël. Will it be blown away or burn down what remains of the country? Let's hope for the best…
