TED Talks in Class

TED Talks in Class
by Gabriel de Assis Bially

Over the last couple of months, the students of ELA class had the task to create a TEDx Talk, meaning that they had to choose a subject that they thought was really important to them and share it with their class, the presentations had to be at least 8 minutes long. Personally at the beginning of my preparation I thought that it was crazy to ask that to students but the more I worked on it, the more it didn't seem that crazy, of course if you choose a subject that you really are passionated about it's way easier, I chose immigration a subject that's really important to me so it was easy for me to talk about it.

What was really cool about TED talks was the way you got to know the people you thought you already knew, I was really blown away to see some of the subjects people chose and who they really are, I got to understand some people I didn't know what were their stories and their difficulties. For me it was the best thing of the TED Talk presentation

To conclude, I feel like TED Talk was the best presentation project we did our whole high school because of what it brought to us and what we learned
