Book review-Harry Potter’s serie
Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, Harry Potter saga’s first book by J.K. Rowling, came out almost 21 years ago. There are reasons behind this series’ worldwide success; magical yet fun characters and relatable themes made it an accessible story to all audiences. Firstly, a wide audience was attracted by the issues addressed in the novels, like orphans, war, and discrimination. Harry Potter being an orphan made people pity him. Also, how his “adoptive family” treated him, was unespected, and quite funny if you have a dark humour. Everything about Harry makes readers love him, which made people want to continue reading. Many conflicts throughout the books were related to one main one : the war against Voldemort. Because this is a war that can be compared to many in real life, people might find a way to leave the real wars to join Harry in his. This novel gives hope to many who stops fighting for what they really believe in. Also, the serie is full of characters, and there is always one that represent you. The famous trio is not alone, it is help by so many others : families, friends, teachers, creatures. Everyone can find a picture of them in one of the character. All of the people in the book are full of surpises, you can always learn something new about them, which is incredibly intertaining. The fact that Rowling thought about a magical world in our own world, makes the story even more credible. And that if it was true? How many of us hopped to receive their Hogwarts letters after reading the books ? J.K. created a world we could believe in, which is amazing. She gave us a story we could feel by reading how the trio was going to deafeat the bad itself. There are tons of reasons to love thoses books : fabulous character, amzing story, ingenious idea, just to name a few. Unurprised the books’ succes was worldwide, Harry Potter deserves all the awards he won, and would have diserved all it never reached.
