Truth or Dare Review

By Rosalie Thérien and Héloise L’Homme

Saturday April 14th, Héloise and I had the chance to go watch the new horror movie Truth or Dare that went out friday the 13th at Cinéma Cartier. The movie was produced by the americain Jeff Wadlow and the casting has a some of pretty good actors like Lucy Hale and Tyler Posey.

Just to summarise a little bit, the movie is about a group of friends which included Lucas, Olivia, Markie, Penelope, Tyson and Brad, that goes to Mexico for their last Spring Break. Once they are there, they are having the time of their life until they meet Carter who invites them to play a game of truth or dare. When they go back in the United States, the game continues and if you don’t do the dare or tell the truth, you die. So in the movie, we go through their journeys while they play the game and they also try to stop the game because a lot of people have died all around the world.

In my opinion, the movie was not really good for a lot of reasons. But before i get on with that, the movie had some really positive points. The casting was really good and the actors did an amazing job. Also, the editing was awesome and the special effects were spectacular. But unfortunately, i found that the story itself wasn’t interesting. There were a lot of times where i was kind of bored because nothing was happening and it was repetitive. Also, for an horror movie, it wasn’t that scary and it was disappointing. For all of those reasons, i wouldn't recommend this movie.
