It’s a game that everyone is talking about, that’s occupying maybe more than what it should in this world… Dozens of million of people are playing it, news channel are addressing it, celebrities have joined the party and it’s made some gamers millionaires. But what is it in Fortnite exactly that brings so much attention?

Fortnite is part of a new genre of video games that blew up pretty recently, called battle royales, where you’re in the same game as one-hundred others in which you have to survive by finding loot and killing your enemies. Ultimately, there can only be one winner. The question still is, how did it get so popular?

First of all, it’s free, that means that everybody can play, that by itself explains how it became so big. Then, when an already enormous community had been built around the game, celebrities started playing it, you know the rest… it reached even more people. News channels hearing about a game making so much noise, they jumped on the opportunity, interviewing gamers about the phenomenon.

Now, if that wasn’t enough for you, the game originally launching on many platforms, including playstation, xbox and pc, is launching on mobile. Mobile devices being accessible to even more people, the game has been in top charts of thirteen countries already, that in less than a week…

With all Fortnite has done already, it’s safe to say that it’s just the beginning...
