by Sebastian Ionascu and Laurent Porter

Mexico earthquake.pngIn less than a month, two earthquakes have shaken Mexico. The first happened on September 8th with a magnitude of 8.1 and the second happened on September 19th with a magnitude of 7.1. Even though the last one had a weaker magnitude, it was way more deadly and harmful.

The epicenter of the second earthquake was close to the capital of Mexico, Mexico City. This tragedy caused at least 230 deaths. 44 buildings were destroyed in the capital and five schools were highly damaged. With all this mess, the population of Mexico City needs a lot of help. The Mexican army has been deployed and Israël has sent 25 engineers to make sure that the buildings are safe and do not risk to shatter down to pieces.

The Mexican students that come for the yearly exchange very probably have been touched by this calamity. We need to support them.

Finally, for you, our Mexican friends, we are with you.
