The Outdoors Club

by Anne-Frédérique Pellerin and Rosalie Massicotte

On Wednesday September 20th a special event here at saint-charles happened. The event is called “Les Kiosques de la vie pédagogique”. The kiosks are a good way for students to choose the activities they are looking forward to doing to complete their diploma, either the “suma cum laude” or the “cum laude”.

File_000.jpegDuring that day we noticed that a certain committee called ‘’le club plein air’’ wasn’t given too much attention. This is why we decided to talk about it and give you more information on the subject. After interviewing Anne-Frédérique Pellerin and Félix Tremblay, two really enthusiastic secondary 5 students in charge of this lovely committee, we learned that in fact the club was a fun committee with no real obligation linked to it. Felix told us that the moment you sign up for the club, you can do the activities only if you want to. You simply need to show up if the activity interests you and you only need to pay for the activities that you want to do.  To summarize it, we can describe the ‘’club plein air’’ as a simple and interesting way to gain units for your diploma and and it brings you the benefit of being outside and enjoying the fresh air. Some of the activities are ‘’arbre en arbre’’, rock climbing and ‘’ski-raquette’’ which is a combination of skiing and snowshoeing. The activities are mainly going to take place during Ped days. Anne-Frédérique and Felix are really looking forward to seeing new people there. Don’t forget to sign up!
