The Juvenile Soccer Team Bring Home the Banner

by David Fortier and Grégoire Baron-Bonneau

This past weekend was the semi-final and Final of the soccer Juvénile soccer team. They played at Lac Beauport on synthetic grass under hard raining weather conditions. Tensions between the teams very was present and they were more than ready to play.

Fortunately everything went perfectly. Saint-Charles won the first game against QHS 4-0 with Étienne Alain opening the score in the first 20 minutes. Everything went right, the passing was on point, not a lot of balls went through the defence and our substitute goalkeeper Axel did very well. Overall, the team play was simply exceptional. QHS were the favorites, being at the top of the standings with 38 points compared to 26 for Collège Saint-Charles-Garnier.

The final game was against Saint-Jean-Eude. And it was not an easy one. They had as much energy as the Express. Once again, Étienne opened the score. Everyone fought until the last minute, and some dirty tackles were made. But with a score of 2-0 we won. It was an incredible moment and the players as well as coach David Vargas was more then happy. Congratulations to the team!
