Kiosk Day

Two weeks ago, a really important event was taking place at Collège Saint-Charles-Garnier: kiosk day. It’s during lunch that every student had the chance to visit information booths in the Salle Fiji to see which activities were offered to them for the year 2017/2018. Just like previous years, there were many interesting activities in the four areas that are necessary for the diploma of excellence ( cultural and intercultural, artistic and scientist, health and sport and the last one, social engagement) such as dance class, basketball, magic, writing, cinema, photography, improvisation, radio and many more!

Even if you may know about the activities, do you know about the “ Diplome d’excellence Saint-Charles-Garnier” ? Do you know how to get it? It’s a wonderful award that everyone in the school can receive at the end of their secondary. It’s pretty simple to get, but if you wait until secondary 5, it will be too late. There are two different kinds, Cum laude and Summa cum laude.
For the first one, you need 60 hours in each domain and you have to pass every class since secondary one. In the second one, you need 90 hours in each one and 80% of average in summary at the end of your secondary. It sure doesn’t look easy to get, but if you are dedicated, you can get it and the experience you get from the activities that you did for the diploma worth even more than the diploma itself!
