Five-Kilometer Walk for Myeloma

This september 17th was the five-kilometer walk for myeloma. Multiple myeloma is a type of cancer that affects the cells in the blood. Like the Terry Fox run, the walk was organised to raise funds to fight against cancer. To make it fun, there’s some kind of a competition with the top tens, the top cities and the top fundraisers across Canada. The top city is Montreal with $79 600. In Quebec were 8 participating teams and the first fundraiser team is team Julie. Together they collected $9 447.50 for the foundation; it’s the 5th team in the whole of Canada.

So Sunday the 17th, the 8 teams of Quebec City did a walk of 5 kilometers along the Saint-Lawrence. A lot of people were there and it was a great moment of joy and hope to find a cure to cancer.
