Kiosk Day

by Laurent Porter and Sebastian Ionascu

When Saint-Charles-Garnier opened its doors this last August, some activities had already begun. Still, if there is one day to remember, if there is one moment when the College awakens from its summer slumber, it is the kiosk day. This year, it will be held on Wednesday September 20.

We interviewed some of the representatives of the extracurricular activities, so this text is mostly based on their feedback and their current plans for that day.
The event is undergoing a yearly process of preparation. The responsibles of the activities are currently being contacted, so we aren’t yet sure that every activity will be available. Hopefully, a great majority of them do return this year, because every contacted responsible is available and offers again its activity.
Up to date, only one activity doesn’t return this year: zumba. It is although replaced by ‘’piloxing’’, a mix of pilates and boxing. Also, the magician instructor, Victor Pattee-Gravel, is replaced by an professional magician (his income is only based on magic). He, according to Mr. Clouet, has an impressive dexterity and plays with cards at an unmatching speed.
Finally, the renovations do not impede any activity. Instead, they mostly bother and delay them. For instance, the harmony has already begun, but it must fit in the cafeteria or chapel. When construction is over, they will benefit from their new quarters.

We hope to see you on September 20th at Kiosk Day in Salle FIJI!
