After several months of patience that seemed like years, NFL football is finally back which means that fantasy football is back too! At college Saint-Charles Garnier, there is one league and it is more alive than ever.
Last week, 8 students of the school took part in an intense online draft. Gustavo de Assis Bially (Big) had the first overall pick and took, without surprise, David Jonhson (RB) of the Arizona Cardinals. After that, Gabriel de Assis Bially (Kobe wan Kenobi), Victor Thériault (Mamba) and Xavier Larouche (Laroosh) completed the top 4 picking respectively Leveon Bell(RB-PIT), Antonio Brown(WR-PIT) and Alabama university pride, Julio Jones(WR-ATL).
Victor Marchand (Marchand Lynch Team), Charles Leblanc (Payton Manning the goat), Raphael Drouin (Les Nobles de Sillery) and Charles-Olivier Laroche (ACL City Knees) are also part of the league.
Week one started last week with an incredible performance by Kansas City Chiefs rookie running back Kareem Hunt who was selected late in the draft by Kobe Wan Kenobi. He offered a tremendous performance putting up 40.60(246 yards and 3 TDs) fantasy points for him. Kobe won easily against Laroosh(by 43.92 points!) even if Xavier’s points projections was higher. Wins for Mamba, Big, and ACL City Knees.
Bad news for Big, David Johnson, the first overall pick in the draft, was injured during his game against the Detroit Lions. The Arizona star Running Back is expected to miss 2 to 3 months! Kerwynn Williams, former Los Angeles Chargers, will be the starting running back in week 2 where they will face the Colts.
In the second week of CSCG fantasy league, Mamba(1-0) plays against Kobe Wan Kenobi(1-0), Laroosh(0-1) versus Les Nobles de Sillery(0-1), Marchand Lynch Team(0-1) against Payton Manning the goat(0-1) and Big will face ACL City Knees.
It should be a very interesting season for CSCG fantasy football.
